Transition Education Center

The Transition Education Center (TEC) provides a dedicated learning environment specifically designed for students aged 14 to 21 with unique educational needs. The center specializes in supporting students with language-based learning disabilities and those identified as twice-exceptional (2e), offering tailored programs that focus on fostering independence and preparing students for successful post-secondary lives.

TEC offers four specialized programs to address various developmental and academic goals: Transition Plus for life skills development; Transition and Post-Secondary Preparation (TAPP) for navigating the move to adulthood; Accountability with Academics and Restorative Education (AWARE) for academic responsibility; and Project SEARCH, which provides vital real-world work experience through internships. These programs are supported by specialized facilities and a low student-teacher ratio to ensure personalized attention and individualized education program (IEP) implementation.

The center emphasizes a collaborative approach, maintaining strong partnerships with families to enhance student outcomes.
