Vanguard School

The Vanguard School provides comprehensive special education and clinical services designed to foster independence and life readiness. Serving students from PreK through grade 12, the school offers specialized programs for those with autism, emotional disturbances, speech-language impairments, and specific learning disabilities. With an average class size of just 6 students, the school ensures highly individualized instruction and a supportive environment tailored to each student's unique academic and behavioral needs.

The school's integrated approach combines academics with essential life skills, including community-based instruction, daily living skills, and vocational training. For older students, the Vanguard Transition Center (ages 18-21) offers post-secondary support, career exploration, and self-advocacy training to prepare students for adulthood. Students also benefit from a diverse curriculum featuring art, music, drama, and physical education to support their various abilities.

A multidisciplinary clinical team is deeply integrated into the student's daily routine, providing speech-language, occupational, and physical therapies, as well as school psychology, behavior support, and Board Certified Behavior Analysis (BCBA). Clinical staff frequently co-treat across disciplines and consult with teachers to ensure cohesive care. While tuition is approximately $68,500, many students are placed via their school district, which often funds the full cost of placement.
