Walker School

Walker is a comprehensive multi-service agency dedicated to supporting children and youth ages 3 to 22 with diverse learning and behavioral needs. Their Needham campus features a therapeutic day school for children ages 5-14, specifically designed to provide a supportive educational environment. The agency also offers specialized programs including ICBAT (hospital diversion) for children ages 3-13, residential programs, group homes, after-school care, and respite services to assist families navigating complex care needs.

For older students, Walker operates Beacon High School in Watertown, MA, which serves youth ages 14-22. The school's programs are tailored to address various learning differences and LD-related issues, providing specialized instruction within a nonsectarian setting. With an average class size of 10, the school focuses on individualized attention to help students thrive academically and socially.

Beyond direct student services, Walker Partnerships works within over 60 school districts throughout Massachusetts to build capacity in public schools. They provide consultation, evaluation, and specialized services aimed at preventing out-of-district placements. Admissions are handled on a rolling basis, and tuition rates for both day and residential services are authorized by OSD.
