William M Bedell Area Resource Center

The William M. Bedell Area Resource Center provides a specialized educational and therapeutic program for children aged 15 months to three years who are developmentally delayed or at risk for delay. The center focuses on the holistic physical and mental development of each child, offering a nurturing environment for early intervention.

The center utilizes an interdisciplinary approach to care, where an assessment team—including Child Development Specialists, speech/language pathologists, physical therapists, nurses, and social workers—collaborates with parents to develop individualized family plans. Programs are specifically designed to target essential developmental milestones, including communication, cognitive, motor, social, and self-help skills.

Through the licensed Parent-Infant Education Program, certified staff provide purposeful and age-appropriate interactions to support both child and family needs. The center also serves as a vital hub for community coordination, assisting families with referrals to additional services and managing the critical transition planning from early intervention into local education programs at age three.
