Camp Accomplish/Melwood Community Services

Camp Accomplish, a partnership between Melwood and Children's National Hospital, provides a highly inclusive summer camp experience specifically designed for children and teens with disabilities and chronic health conditions. The program offers both day camp options (ages 5-18) and overnight camp options (ages 8-18), ensuring a safe and engaging environment where campers can build friendships and independence.

The camp features a wide range of adaptive activities, including swimming, climbing walls, ropes courses, archery, horseback riding, canoeing, and creative arts. Families can have peace of mind knowing that a team of medical experts and dedicated staff are on hand to manage chronic health needs. To ensure accessibility, the camp provides 1:1 assistance at no additional cost to families, and financial aid is available based on need.

For older campers aged 16-18, the Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program offers a unique opportunity to develop leadership, character, and personal growth skills. Whether participating in talent shows or outdoor adventures, every camper is supported by a team that understands their specific medical and developmental requirements.
