Camp Audubon offers nature-based day and overnight camps in Chevy Chase, MD, featuring an 8:1 ratio and hands-on environmental education.
Camp Audubon offers day, travel, and overnight camps for children from Pre-K through high school, providing a sensory-rich, nature-based environment on a 40-acre sanctuary. The camp focuses on high-quality environmental science education through hands-on outdoor adventures, such as exploring local wildlife, hiking, and gardening. This immersive setting is ideal for children who benefit from structured, nature-focused learning and tactile engagement with the world around them.
To ensure a safe and supportive experience, all camps are led by experienced environmental educators and maintain a low child-to-teacher ratio of 8:1. This small group size allows for personalized attention and helps educators better support the unique social and developmental needs of each camper. For older students, the Teen Naturalist Training (TNT) program offers a leadership-focused experience similar to a CIT program.
Camp sessions run from 8:45 am to either 3:00 pm or 4:00 pm, with an extended care option available until 6:00 pm for families needing additional support. Located in Chevy Chase, MD, Camp Audubon provides a variety of programming options designed to foster connection with nature in a supervised, educational setting.
