Camp Del Corazon is a medically supervised summer camp in Catalina Island, CA, for children and young adults with heart disease.
Camp Del Corazon provides a medically supervised, free residential summer camp specifically designed for children and teens (ages 7-17) living with heart disease. Recognizing that medical challenges can often lead to social isolation, this camp offers a safe, supportive environment where campers can participate in traditional camp activities alongside peers who share similar medical journeys.
The program focuses on fostering community and connection, ensuring that the physical limitations or medication requirements associated with congenital heart disease (CHD) do not prevent children from experiencing the joy of camp life. The camp is fully medically supervised to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during their stay on Catalina Island.
In addition to the youth program, Camp Del Corazon offers the PACE (Progressive Adult Cardiac Experience) program, a dedicated space for young adults with CHD between the ages of 18 and 25 to connect and find community.
