Camp Discovery (KS) - ADA

Camp Discovery (ADA) is an ACA-accredited residential camp specifically designed to provide a safe and empowering experience for young people living with diabetes. Held at the Rock Springs 4H Center, this overnight camp offers a week of fun-filled outdoor recreation, including horseback riding, arts and crafts, and hiking. The program focuses on fostering close friendships among campers and counselors in an environment that understands the unique medical needs of children with diabetes.

For younger children, the American Diabetes Association also offers the Kansas Diabetes Day Camp (Ka-Di-Da-Ca). This day camp is tailored for children who have completed kindergarten through 2nd grade, along with their siblings. Located at Camp Hiawatha in Wichita, KS, this program provides a supportive setting where kids can participate in swimming, games, and arts and crafts while learning more about diabetes management in a peer-supported environment.
