Camp Enchantment provides a specialized, weeklong overnight adventure designed specifically for children who are currently undergoing cancer treatment or are cancer survivors. Sponsored by the American Cancer Society and supported by UNM's Pediatric Oncology Program, this camp offers a safe and supportive environment where children can find respite and connection with peers facing similar medical journeys.
Located in the beautiful Manzano Mountains near Torreon, New Mexico, the camp offers a variety of adaptive recreational activities including swimming, hiking, mountain biking, high ropes, crafts, and sports. The program is designed to be inclusive and exciting, with new activities added each year to ensure every camper can participate in ways that are appropriate for their health and energy levels.
One of the most impactful aspects of Camp Enchantment is that the program is free to every child who attends, made possible through the generosity of numerous sponsors and volunteers.
