Camp Fitch YMCA

Camp Fitch YMCA is a classic sleep-away summer camp for boys and girls aged 6-16, fostering social development, self-efficacy, and communication skills. The inclusive program features an equestrian center, climbing tower, swimming pool, and visual arts center, using outdoor activities to promote persistence and personal goals.

Safety and specialized care are priorities. Three registered nurses are on-site all summer to manage medications and provide medical guidance. The camp is accredited by the American Camp Association and overseen by the Erie County Board of Health. All staff undergo intensive, on-site orientation and skill-building to ensure attentive care for every child's needs.

The committed, vetted staff includes college students trained in leadership and positive role-modeling. All employees undergo rigorous background checks, and certified lifeguards undergo weekly assessments to maintain a secure environment. The camp's philosophy focuses on using activities to foster compassion, respect, and meaningful personal accomplishments.
