Camp Kidwell

Camp Kidwell is an ACA-accredited and state-licensed camping program located on 150 beautiful acres on Eagle Lake in Bloomingdale, Michigan. Offering both day and resident camp programs for children ages 4 to 16, the camp provides a safe, nurturing, and family-oriented atmosphere. This environment is designed to help children feel secure while they explore the outdoors, expand their personal boundaries, and build social confidence.

The camp features a wide variety of structured activities, including swimming, archery, horseback riding, arts and crafts, drama, canoeing, and nature exploration. Each weekly session follows an exciting theme, providing a fresh and engaging experience for returning campers. To ensure a supportive environment for all participants, the camp maintains a minimum staff-to-child ratio of 1:8, with at least two staff members present at all activities.

Safety and supervision are top priorities at Camp Kidwell. All staff members undergo a rigorous selection process, including thorough interviews, reference verifications, and complete background checks. The enrollment process is open to all families, regardless of residency or organizational affiliation, making these summer programs accessible to the broader community.
