Camp Kippewa

Camp Kippewa is a unique all-girls overnight camp in Monmouth, ME, serving girls ages 6 to 15. The camp is designed with a caring, nurturing ambiance specifically intended to help girls feel at ease with themselves, fostering the confidence needed to make friends and try challenging new activities. This supportive environment is ideal for campers who may benefit from a structured yet flexible setting that prioritizes emotional well-being and self-esteem.

The program offers a highly customizable experience where campers create their own weekly schedules across six daily activity blocks. Specialized programs include an extensive Arts curriculum with over 20 disciplines in Fine Arts, Crafts, Dance, and Theater, as well as an onsite Equestrian program with daily riding. For those seeking physical engagement, the camp provides water sports on Lake Cobbosseecontee—including sailing, canoeing, and kayaking—alongside land sports such as gymnastics, tennis, and lacrosse.

Beyond skill-building, the camp emphasizes connection to nature and social development through wilderness hikes, beach days, and ocean sailing trips. While the camp is an all-girls environment, campers participate in shared special events and weekly lunches with their brothers from Camps Cobbossee, providing opportunities for social interaction in a supervised, inclusive setting.
