Camp Lightbulb LA

Camp Lightbulb LA provides a supportive and affirming overnight camp experience specifically designed for LGBTQ+ youth ages 14 to 18. The program focuses on fostering self-discovery, community, and pride through a curriculum built on the core principles of Art, Community, Fun, Learning, Outdoors, Service, and Wellness. The camp environment is intentionally created to be a safe space for identity exploration and social connection.

The programming offers a diverse range of inclusive activities, including gender-neutral makeup sessions, drag sessions, a pride runway, and discussions centered on social media activism. Campers engage with inspiring speakers and participate in themed parties and local trips, all within a community-focused setting that celebrates queer identity and provides essential peer support.

Located in Santa Monica, CA, this independent, not-for-profit camp utilizes the vibrant local community to enrich the camper experience.
