Camp Micah is a coed, overnight camp located on the secluded Peabody Pond in Bridgton, Maine, specifically designed to provide a safe, stimulating, and challenging environment for campers. Led by Director Mark H. Lipof, LICSW, the camp focuses on building self-esteem, fostering social relationships, and promoting skill development through a supportive community infused with Jewish traditions and values.
The camp offers a wide range of adaptive and engaging activities, including waterfront adventures like kayaking, canoeing, and sailing, as well as team and individual sports such as archery, tennis, and soccer. Campers can also participate in arts and crafts, music, theatre, a skate park, a Ninja Warrior course, and wilderness hiking, ensuring there is an activity to match every interest and ability level.
To ensure personalized support and mentorship, each college-aged staff member lives in the bunks with the campers, acting as both instructors for specific activities and positive role models. As an ACA Accredited camp, Camp Micah is committed to maintaining high standards of safety and care for all participants.
