Camp Newaygo

Camp Newaygo is an ACA-accredited, all-girls residential camp located on 101 acres along Lake Pickerel in the Manistee National Forest near Newaygo, Michigan. Serving girls ages 7-17, the camp provides a structured and inclusive outdoor environment where campers can build confidence and lifelong friendships. The camp's mission focuses on creating a sense of belonging, making it a supportive space for girls to explore new interests and develop social skills.

The camp offers a wide variety of skill-building activities and classes that campers can choose from each week, including kayaking, canoeing, sailing, archery, pottery, photography, and drama. For girls who enjoy sensory-rich outdoor experiences, options like windsurfing, paddle boarding, and outdoor cooking are available. A unique feature of the program is that all campers, regardless of age, participate in an overnight campout, providing a shared experience that fosters community and resilience.

Operated by True North Community Services, Camp Newaygo emphasizes a nurturing atmosphere led by dedicated counselors. While the camp focuses on a classic summer experience with activities ranging from water sports to arts and crafts, the emphasis remains on a safe, supervised, and engaging environment where every girl can participate without holding back.
