Camp Nuhop

Located in Ohio's Mohican region, Camp Nuhop is a premier social-emotional summer camp for youth ages 6 to 18 who benefit from structured environments and intentional social skill development. With over 50 years of experience, Nuhop offers residential, travel, and respite care options, providing a supportive community to practice communication, cooperation, and emotional awareness.

The camp blends traditional activities—including outdoor adventures, creative expression, and team challenges—with specialized support. Campers are placed in small, compatible groups of eight with three trained counselors. Staff receive extensive training in youth development, facilitation, and trauma-informed care to promote growth, resilience, and independence.

Beyond the Ohio campus, Nuhop provides extended adventure trips to the Adirondacks, Maine, the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and Wisconsin.
