Camp Oliver

Camp Oliver is a non-profit, non-denominational summer camp in Descanso, CA, providing a safe and caring natural environment for co-ed campers ages 6 to 12. With over 60 years of tradition, the camp focuses on fostering connections between peers and counselors through inclusive, supervised outdoor experiences. The camp is committed to accessibility, offering "camperships" to ensure that no child is turned away due to an inability to pay camp fees.

The camp offers a variety of structured and engaging activities designed to build confidence and social skills, including swimming, hiking, archery, nature studies, and a low elements course. Campers also participate in arts and crafts, dance classes, and evening traditions like campfires and outdoor movies. The small-scale setting, with only 6 cabins and a maximum of 72 campers, allows for a highly attentive and supportive environment.

Campers stay in cabins organized by gender, with 3 to 4 staff members present in each cabin to provide supervision and support. Sessions run from Sunday to Friday during a 5-6 week season. Camp Oliver welcomes children from all religious, ethnic, and family backgrounds, prioritizing a sense of belonging for every camper.
