Camp Oo-U-La is an overnight camp in Winder, GA, providing emotional and physical recovery support for burn survivors and their siblings.
Camp Oo-U-La provides a specialized summer camp experience designed specifically for burn-injured children and their siblings. Hosted at the Camp Twin Lakes Will-A-Way facility in Winder, GA, the program focuses on supporting both the physical and emotional recovery of survivors. The camp environment is designed to foster resilience, helping campers grow together through shared experiences, new friendships, and the freedom of the camp setting.
The program is uniquely structured to support the entire family unit, offering an overnight family camp model that helps siblings navigate the journey of recovery alongside their injured brother or sister. Eligibility is open to Georgia residents aged 7 to 17 who have sustained a burn injury requiring treatment or hospitalization at a burn center, as well as non-Georgia residents who received treatment in a Georgia burn center. Siblings of eligible campers are also welcome to participate. Operated by the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation, this program is a member of the International Association of Burn Camps.
