Camp Pack Forest

Camp Pack Forest, located on 2,500 acres in the southern Adirondacks, offers a structured and immersive environmental education experience. The camp provides specialized sessions for children ages 11-13 and teens ages 14-17, focusing on group dynamics, teamwork, and social development. Through discovery groups and small cabin settings (housing 15-20 campers), the program emphasizes communication, cooperation, and finding individual strengths through shared challenges.

The curriculum is designed to engage students through hands-on science and outdoor exploration, including aquatic biology, wildlife management, and field ecology. Campers participate in structured lessons ranging from pond explorations to studying human impact, alongside exhilarating activities like canoeing, backpacking, hiking, and orienteering. The program is specifically designed to help students discover their abilities while navigating group decision-making processes.

As part of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Summer Environmental Education Camp Program, Pack Forest provides a supervised, educational environment. Sessions are held during July and August, offering a week-long adventure in a beautiful, natural setting that promotes both scientific learning and personal growth.
