Camp Ramapo

Camp Buckskin, located in Isabella, MN, is an overnight summer camp that focuses on serving boys and girls ages 6-18 who are facing academic and/or social skill difficulties, including those with AD/HD, Learning Disabilities, Aspergers, and similar needs. With a history dating back to 1959, the camp has helped over 8,000 children benefit from their therapeutic program, leading to personal growth and improvement as reported by parents, teachers, and professionals.

The camp's program is designed to help campers stay focused, gain knowledge and skills, and improve existing abilities, ultimately leading to a smoother transition to the new school year and improved happiness and success. The program works on two levels, offering a mix of traditional camp and academic activities each day, as well as a Personal Growth program focusing on social skill goals and interpersonal communication skills.

Parents receive written reports detailing their child's progress in these areas, as well as insights and observations to help continue the progress made at camp. The camp's approach is consistent with that of parents and teachers, supplementing their efforts to help campers become happier and more successful.
