Camp Rice Moody

Camp Rice Moody, located in a scenic wooded area of Reading, MA, offers an engaging summer day camp program for girls entering grades 1–10. As an ACA Accredited camp operated by the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts, the program focuses on building confidence and social skills through weekly themes and a variety of structured activities.

The camp provides a diverse range of sensory and physical activities, including swimming, arts and crafts, outdoor cooking, and outdoor skills. The facility is well-equipped for various needs, featuring a swimming pool, a large program building for daily indoor activities, and dedicated units with fire pits and shaded picnic areas. These structured environments allow for both active play and calm, focused creative time.

To foster agency and decision-making, campers are given the opportunity to participate in the planning of their weekly activities. This empowerment-focused approach helps girls develop leadership and autonomy in a safe, supervised, and supportive outdoor setting.
