Camp Runoia

Camp Runoia is a private, ACA-accredited residential girls' camp located in the Belgrade Lakes region of Central Maine. The camp offers a supportive, non-competitive environment designed to foster personal growth and confidence. By utilizing mixed-age classes, the program allows campers to develop new skills and reach personal milestones at their own individual pace, reducing the pressure often found in competitive settings.

The camp experience is centered around student agency, where campers are actively involved in choosing their program activities. This variety of options allows for a customized experience that can accommodate different interests and comfort levels. Whether participating in overnight stays or family camp options, the focus remains on building lasting relationships and a sense of community belonging.

Serving a wide age range from 4 to 100, Camp Runoia provides a progressive yet tradition-rich setting for girls to explore new interests. The camp is an independent, for-profit organization led by Director Alex Jackson, providing a structured yet flexible summer experience in a beautiful natural landscape.
