Camp Sangamon

Camp Sangamon is an ACA-accredited overnight boys' camp in Pittsford, VT, designed to foster independence through a unique, elective-based program. The camp's structure is highly flexible, allowing boys ages 9-15 to create their own daily schedules. This autonomy is ideal for campers who benefit from personalized pacing and the ability to choose activities that align with their specific interests and sensory preferences.

The program features over 20 instructional activities and daily trips, including individual and team sports as well as five different studio crafts. By allowing campers to choose their own activities every period of every day, Sangamon provides a low-pressure environment where boys can explore new skills and build confidence at their own speed. The camp's structure is a great fit for a wide variety of boys, including those who thrive in specialized, interest-driven settings.

Camp Sangamon offers four distinct sessions: two 3-week sessions and two 2-week sessions. While Sangamon is a single-gender environment for boys, its sister camp is located right next door, offering a unique opportunity for families to experience both single-gender and co-ed camping options in one location.
