Camp SkyWild (MI Session) is a specialized residential camp in Pinckney, MI, for children and teens with autism, Asperger's, ADHD, and other developmental or learning disabilities. Operating on the philosophy of creating a world that fits the camper, the camp provides a highly structured daily schedule, sensory break areas with quiet spaces, and visual communication systems to assist with transitions.
The multidisciplinary staff includes BCBAs, Occupational Therapists, social workers, and behavior technicians. Maintaining an industry-leading 2:1 camper-to-counselor ratio in both activities and cabins, the camp also places a behavior intern in each cabin to assist campers with higher support needs or specific behavioral challenges.
Programming utilizes a "challenge by choice" model, respecting each camper's comfort level and interests. A dedicated Siblings Program is led by staff with personal experience as siblings of individuals with diagnoses. One-week sessions are available for up to $1800 per week.
