Camp St. Francis - Diocese of California

Camp St. Francis offers a week-long overnight camp experience for children ages 7-13 at Camp Gold Hollow in the Sierra Foothills. The program fosters caring and acceptance through team-building games and discussions. A unique feature is the Scarf program, which helps campers tackle personal challenges and develop life skills. Activities include swimming in Lake Vera, archery, boating, crafts, music, and dance.

Campers can sleep in Adirondack-style cabins or on sleeping platforms under the stars. Set in a positive Christian environment, the camp emphasizes spiritual growth through chapel time and outdoor exploration. Safety is prioritized with a certified First-Aider and a certified waterfront lifeguard on staff, with proximity to Nevada City medical and fire services.

Hosted by the Diocese of California, the camp maintains a non-discriminatory policy. Transportation is provided via bus between the camp and the Church of the Resurrection in Pleasant Hill. All meals and snacks are prepared on-site by volunteer staff.
