Camp Sunshine

Founded in 1984, Camp Sunshine provides a unique, year-round retreat model specifically designed to support children with life-threatening illnesses and their entire families. As the only program of its kind in the nation, it offers a compassionate space for recreation and connection through all stages of a child's illness, helping to promote joy and hope during incredibly challenging times.

The program is provided free of charge to families and prioritizes safety and well-being by including on-site medical and psychosocial support. This comprehensive approach ensures that the physical and emotional needs of both the child and their caregivers are met within a supportive, ACA-accredited environment.

Beyond active illness, Camp Sunshine offers specialized bereavement sessions for families who have experienced the loss of a child to a supported illness. This holistic focus on the family unit provides a vital resource for healing, community, and long-term emotional support.
