Camp Togowoods

Camp Togowoods, operated by Girl Scouts of Alaska, offers an immersive outdoor experience on 300 acres near Wasilla, AK. The camp features five distinct ecosystems, including a wetlands boardwalk, providing a sensory-rich environment for nature exploration. Activities include arts and crafts, nature hikes, environmental education, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and outdoor cooking, offering diverse ways for campers to engage with the natural world.

Designed to foster independence within a secure setting, the camp provides overnight and day options. Campers sleep in platform tents equipped with wooden floors, cots, and mosquito netting, bringing the outdoors within reach while maintaining comfort. For older girls (grades 4+), the 35-foot climbing tower offers a structured way to build confidence and physical skills.

Safety and supervision are central to the camp experience, as counselors live in adjacent tents to provide a watchful presence while allowing campers to develop autonomy. As an ACA Accredited facility, Camp Togowoods provides a structured and supervised environment for children to explore nature and develop new skills.
