Camp Vacamas

Camp Vacamas offers immersive overnight and day camp experiences in NY and NJ, providing youth ages 16 and under with a blend of rustic camping and modern experiential learning. The program focuses on building a diverse, inclusive community where campers and staff learn from different cultures. Through structured activities like daily instructional swim, archery, arts & crafts, and drama, the camp provides a supportive environment for social and personal growth.

The curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning and skill-building through nature-based activities such as hiking, orienteering, and trail-blazing. For older campers, the NJ teen camp offers specialized divisions including Biking, Canoeing, Lifeguard Training, and Exercise and Nutrition. For more mature participants, the Leadership Training (LIT) program provides opportunities to develop advanced social and organizational skills in a supervised setting.

Every day concludes with group games and summer learning sessions, including reading, to ensure campers engage in both recreational and educational development. As an ACA Accredited, non-profit program, Camp Vacamas provides a structured and safe environment for campers to explore nature's classroom through a variety of specialized, interest-based programming.
