Creative Drama Camp

Creative Drama Camp offers an engaging, multi-sensory introduction to the world of theatre, blending acting, singing, and hands-on creativity. The program is structured to build confidence and skills progressively, with levels ranging from Drama 1 to Drama 3. This tiered approach allows campers to advance from simpler choreography to more complex work as they grow, making it a great fit for children who benefit from clear, incremental milestones.

Beyond performing, campers explore the tactile and sensory aspects of theatre by creating their own costumes, props, and scenery. The curriculum also incorporates physical activity through swim instruction three times a week and includes theatre-oriented field trips or workshops each session. These varied activities provide a well-rounded experience that supports both artistic expression and physical development.

The camp operates in three-week sessions, each culminating in an evening performance that celebrates the campers' hard work. To ensure continuity and social bonding, registration and participation for the full three-week session is strongly encouraged, as single-week registration is not available. This ACA-accredited program is operated by the Metro YMCA of the Oranges.
