Dorothy P Flint 4-H Camp

Dorothy P. Flint 4-H Camp offers a safe, hands-on residential outdoor education experience set on 140 acres of woodland, farmland, and beachfront. Operated by the Cornell Cooperative Extension of Nassau County and accredited by the American Camp Association, the camp serves as a "Living Laboratory" designed to foster independence, leadership, and positive self-esteem through immersive environmental discovery.

The camp provides a variety of sensory and physical activities that can support developmental growth, including a 40-acre work-and-learn farm, a Nature Center, and both low and high ropes challenge courses. For students who benefit from structured physical engagement or animal interaction, the facility also features an indoor horseback riding arena and various riding trails, providing a nurturing environment for exploring nature and building confidence.
