Frederick County 4-H Camp Center

The Frederick County 4-H Camp Center provides a secure and nurturing summer environment for youth to explore new interests through hands-on learning. As an ACA-accredited program, the camp offers a structured setting where campers can engage in a wide variety of educational activities led by University of Maryland faculty, 4-H volunteers, and trained counselors.

Safety and specialized support are central to the camp experience. Counselors undergo rigorous training to meet American Camping Association standards, which includes instruction in conflict resolution, working with young children, First Aid, and CPR. This preparation ensures that staff are equipped to manage various situations and support the diverse needs of all campers in a supervised, inclusive atmosphere.
