Global Leadership Forum

The Global Leadership Forum (GLF) is an 18-day summer short course held on the UWC-USA campus in Montezuma, New Mexico. Designed for international youth aged 14 to 18, this program offers an experiential learning environment that focuses on personal growth, effective communication, and social justice. The curriculum is specifically structured to provide a meaningful UWC experience without the academic pressure of the International Baccalaureate curriculum, making it a supportive option for students seeking enrichment outside a traditional classroom setting.

The program emphasizes interpersonal growth, empathy, and self-awareness through hands-on activities and community engagement. Participants are encouraged to bring a community project of their choice, and under the guidance of Instructors and Program Managers, they utilize design thinking and problem-solving skills to develop actionable plans for their home communities. The curriculum also provides exposure to local Southwest culture and socio-political issues, fostering a global perspective.
