Growing Green

Growing Green is a specialized Easterseals residential summer camp designed specifically for campers with special needs. Located within the Pocono Environmental Education Center in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, the camp offers a unique blend of occupational, educational, and recreational experiences. The program focuses on teaching green occupational skills and fostering an appreciation for the outdoors across 70,000 acres of mountains, forests, and floodplains.

Safety and specialized care are central to the Growing Green experience. The camp features a professional director on-site 24/7, and all staff members undergo background screening and are trained in CPR, First Aid, and AED. To support campers with medical or medication needs, a camp nurse is on duty 24/7 to provide routine care, administer medications, and handle first aid, ensuring a secure environment for all participants.

The camp operates on a Sunday through Friday schedule, providing a structured overnight residency. Each camp session is priced at $1,150. As an ACA accredited program operated by Easterseals Eastern PA, Growing Green provides a professionally supervised setting where campers can develop independence and new skills in a natural environment.
