Harford County 4-H Camp Inc Center

Harford County 4-H Center provides hands-on, skill-building opportunities for youth ages 8-18, with the Clover program available for younger children ages 5-7. Through a "Learn by Doing" approach, the program offers various ways for children to engage, including community-based neighborhood clubs and county-wide special interest groups. These groups allow youth to develop social skills and interests in areas such as animals (horses, dogs, small pets, livestock), horticulture, archery, and leadership.

The program is designed to foster essential life skills, including communication, organization, and decision-making, in a supportive, peer-based environment. For students who benefit from structured extracurriculars, 4-H offers after-school and in-school programs that integrate youth development with school curriculum. Seasonal opportunities include summer camps, horse clinics, and special events like workshops and fashion revues, providing diverse social settings for children to build confidence.

As an ACA-accredited organization operated by the University of Maryland Extension, 4-H relies on a dedicated network of adult volunteers and professional teachers.
