Lake Okoboji UM Camp

Lake Okoboji UM Camp offers a variety of structured summer programs designed to provide a safe, comfortable, and faith-based environment for children of all ages. As an ACA accredited camp, it provides a variety of specialized settings, including week-long Adventure and Specialty Camps, Day Camps for 4-6 year olds, and 'Short Stacks' events specifically tailored for younger campers (ages 6-9). The camp's mission is to share Christ's message through caring Christian staff guidance in a supportive atmosphere.

The camp features a wide range of sensory and physical activities that can be adapted to different interests, such as rock climbing, canoeing, archery, swimming, and go-karts. For families seeking extra support or connection, the camp offers 'Guardian & Angel' events, which allow younger campers to experience camp alongside a special adult, as well as new Family Camp opportunities that bring adults and campers together for a shared experience.

Beyond summer sessions, Lake Okoboji provides year-round engagement through springtime events like the Walleye Weekend Getaway and youth lock-ins. Whether participating in overnight, day, or family programs, campers engage in a blend of traditional camp activities and high-energy adventures under the supervision of the Iowa Conference United Methodist staff.
