Mystic Aquarium

Mystic Aquarium offers ACA-accredited summer day camps in Mystic, CT, providing highly interactive and sensory-rich experiences for young explorers. These week-long programs, running from mid-June through August, are designed to engage students through hands-on marine biology explorations. The camp structure includes half-day options for our youngest learners (PreK-K) with caregivers from 9:00am-12:00pm, and full-day programs (Grades 1-10) from 9:00am-4:00pm, offering a predictable routine that can be helpful for children who benefit from structured daily schedules.

The camp environment is led by Aquarium Educators and Animal Care Specialists who guide campers through immersive, tactile learning opportunities. Activities include behind-the-scenes tours, field studies in local ecosystems, and investigating deep-sea discoveries. These hands-on, interactive explorations are designed to inspire ocean stewardship through direct engagement with marine life and specialized staff.

As an ACA-accredited program, Mystic Aquarium provides a safe and supervised setting for campers to explore their interests. While the camps are day-only programs and do not provide transportation, the structured, educator-led environment offers a unique way for children to develop social skills and scientific curiosity in a stimulating, nature-focused setting.
