Patuxent River 4-H Center

The Patuxent River 4-H Center is an ACA-accredited environmental education facility located on 74 acres of scenic land near the Patuxent River. The center offers a variety of daily, weekly, and overnight programs designed for people of all ages, providing a structured and engaging outdoor setting that is ideal for children seeking hands-on learning and sensory-rich environmental experiences.

The facility features a main activity center with meeting rooms, dining facilities, and a pavilion for group activities, alongside three cabins available for overnight stays. Through its partnership with the Maryland Cooperative Extension Service, the center provides traditional 4-H activities and environmental education programs that foster skill-building and social development in a safe, supervised, and nature-focused environment.

As an American Camping Association accredited site, the center maintains high standards for safety and programming.
