Powerhouse Therapy

Powerhouse Therapy provides intensive, research-based Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT) designed for children with one-sided weakness. This 1:1 approach is specifically tailored for children navigating neurological challenges such as cerebral palsy, stroke, or other brain injuries. The program is also highly effective for children experiencing decreased range of motion due to brachial plexus injuries or recent orthopedic surgeries.

The therapeutic intervention focuses on restraining the unaffected upper extremity to encourage active use and functional practice of the affected limb. Led by occupational and physical therapists with specialized CIMT training, the program targets essential developmental milestones, including fine and gross motor skills, motor planning, balance, and bilateral hand use. Additionally, sessions work on core strength, sensory awareness, and improving daily living skills like feeding, dressing, and grooming.

Available as a day camp in Suwanee, GA, the program offers flexible session lengths ranging from 2 to 5 weeks, with costs up to $1,300 per week. To further support physical progress, Aqua Therapy is available upon request for one week to supplement the CIMT camp. This intensive program is ideal for families seeking targeted, high-repetition therapy in a supportive, specialized environment.
