Camp Buckskin is an overnight summer camp that caters to boys and girls aged 6-18 who are facing academic and/or social skill challenges. Many of the campers have AD/HD, Learning Disabilities, Asperger's, or similar needs, but they also have above-average intelligence and untapped potential. The camp focuses on providing extra support to help the campers develop their abilities and become more self-aware.

Since its establishment in 1959, Camp Buckskin has positively impacted over 8,000 children through its therapeutic program, leading to personal growth and enhanced skills as reported by their parents, teachers, and professionals involved. The camp effectively combines traditional recreational activities with academic instruction, allowing campers to gain knowledge, demonstrate skills, and achieve recognition for their accomplishments.

One of the most important aspects of the camp's program is the Personal Growth program, where parents set social skill goals for their children to work on. Throughout the day, campers have opportunities to work on these areas, such as improving peer relations, interpersonal communication, and problem-solving skills. Daily evaluations and written reports help track the campers' progress, and parents receive insights and observations to continue supporting their child's development after camp.
