Tourette Syndrome Camp Use

Camp Buckskin is an overnight summer camp specifically designed to cater to the needs of boys and girls ages 6-18 who experience academic and/or social skill difficulties. With a focus on serving those with AD/HD, Learning Disabilities, Aspergers, or similar needs, the camp aims to provide extra help and support to help these campers reach their full potential.

Since 1959, Camp Buckskin has supported over 8,000 children, helping them experience personal growth and improvement as reported by parents, teachers, and professionals involved in their lives. The camp's therapeutic program effectively utilizes the summer to help youth stay focused, gain knowledge and skills, and improve existing abilities, ultimately leading to a smoother transition to the new school year and increased happiness and success.

The camp's program actively combines traditional camp activities with academic pursuits, allowing campers to progress through various levels and be recognized for their achievements. Additionally, the camp's Personal Growth program offers campers the opportunity to work on specific social skill goals, learn and improve peer relations, interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and other related skills.

Furthermore, Camp Buckskin ensures that parents are involved in the progress made at camp, providing written reports and sharing insights and observations so that they can continue to support their child's development after camp.

Through its comprehensive program, the camp aims to create a positive and impactful experience for every child who attends, helping them overcome hurdles and reach their fullest potential.
